I'm motivated by the chance to contribute to the safe and responsible development of emerging technologies, especially where artificial intelligence, biosafety, and biosecurity intersect. I believe we're at a critical moment in shaping how these technologies will impact society, and I want my work to help create positive, meaningful outcomes from the start — rather than reactive fixes later on.
My perspective comes from a background in genomic biotechnology and from witnessing, during the COVID-19 pandemic, how deeply connected science, security, and society truly are. That experience reinforced my belief that the best solutions come from collaboration, and from including diverse perspectives and communities in the conversations shaping the future.

I'm a biotechnologist by training, and over the past few years I've increasingly specialized in biosecurity — particularly around emerging technologies and global risk. More recently, much of my focus has been on the intersection of AI and biotechnology, a space I find both fascinating and deeply important for the future.
My interests sit at the meeting point of governance, safety, security, and responsible innovation. I'm especially interested in how these technologies can be developed and applied in ways that create positive impact while reducing potential risks from the beginning. Alongside the technical side, I enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams, supporting projects from idea to implementation, and mentoring others who are growing into this field.
Soy biotecnóloga de formación y, en los últimos años, me he especializado cada vez más en biocustodia — sobre todo en torno a las tecnologías emergentes y el riesgo global. Más recientemente, gran parte de mi enfoque ha estado en la intersección de la IA y la biotecnología, un espacio que me parece fascinante y profundamente importante para el futuro.

One of the things I value most about working at the intersection of AI and biosecurity is being able to bridge different worlds: the technical and the strategic, the research side and the practical one. I can support work related to understanding and evaluating the risks of emerging technologies, designing tools and processes that build in safety and security from the start, and translating complex technical findings into clear insights for governance and decision-making.
Beyond the technical side, I also enjoy the operational and people-oriented parts of this work — coordinating multidisciplinary teams, helping move projects from idea to implementation, and mentoring others. Whether it's contributing to research, shaping responsible innovation, or supporting capacity-building efforts, I'm happy to bring both a hands-on approach and a collaborative mindset.
Una de las cosas que más valoro de trabajar en la intersección de la IA y la biocustodia es poder tender puentes entre mundos distintos: lo técnico y lo estratégico, la investigación y la práctica. Puedo apoyar trabajo relacionado con entender y evaluar los riesgos de las tecnologías emergentes, diseñar herramientas y procesos que integren la seguridad desde el inicio, y traducir hallazgos técnicos complejos en ideas claras para la gobernanza y la toma de decisiones.

I'm currently looking for work, research, and collaboration opportunities that let me keep growing in the biosecurity field, especially at the intersection of AI and biotechnology. This includes work on the responsible use and governance of AI in this space, as well as the safe development and implementation of tools and other practical applications — always guided by safety and security principles from the start.
I'm open to collaborating in different ways: consulting and advisory work, formal roles, research collaborations, partnerships, or other opportunities connected to this space. I'm also always interested in learning about fellowships, programs, internships, and communities that could help me deepen my experience and keep building in this field.
